I test drove a porsche V8 diesel twin turbo 2 days ago….. and took it back within a km and laughed at what a pig it was re turbo lag (FULL 1.5 seconds before it decided to do anything from standstill). Of course it went like stink when wound up — but was utterly and totally a piece of $hit off the takeoff re turbo lag. OF COURSE I could have hit the launch control and artificially held the revs up to avoid this — but I don't want a lemon that needs this artificial sweetener before it tastes any good and is otherwise a lemon in 99.9% of driving situations…. Now BE HONEST… does this thing have bad turbo lag?…. because it suspiciously looked like someone was "raising revs' prior to takeoff"…. maybe to mask a fundamental flaw like porsches heap of $hit???
