if they would offer a 80 dollar plan with unlimited hotspot. they could steel people from internet . and with 5 g coming it be faster. just think one device in your pocket that would be your phone your internet, texting , your camera , all in your pocket.

Can you use the sim in your own different hot spot device ? That has better antennas ?

If i am not mistaken, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and Spotify do not count as data on some of TMobile's plans. If that's available for a mobile hot spot.. it might be worth checking out.

I believe they cross-referencing your name, your email address, home address and phone number to their database. Since that's the information required to try out the test drive. I've come across quite a few people who said they were denied because they were still in T-Mobile database even though there are no longer with them. I believe it's like within 6 months. Anyway I got mine on Friday the 30th. Well tmobile is always bad in my market and it hasn't changed. NO SURPRISEThey sorely need Sprint! Without Sprint they will not be able to deploy 5G. In fact T-Mobile has suspended it's 5G deployment network because the merger has stagnated. I'll stick with my current carrier. I get from 130Mbps to 210Mbps dl on band 41 4G LTE with 3xCA and on band 25 I get 70Mbps dl & 30Mbps ul with 2xCA. T-Mobile's best only gives me 2.96Mbps dl & 6.34Mbps ul in my market. 🙄Keep up the awesome work! 😁👍Btw wondering if the SIM can be used on an unlocked smartphone and test drive it that way.

We signed up for the test drive ( have been with Verizon for years), but if we like it, they're offering a two for one Samsung Galaxy Note so it would be a nice upgrade from our 4 year old phones. We'll see!

I had my phone number assigned to me by TMo about 8 years ago. I switched to Verizon about 5 years ago and took my number. I tried to access this offer but TMo still sees my number as one of their own and thus, I cannot take advantage. Thanks for the info! You guys provide an AMAZING service.

The existing customer check is by email address, my primary was rejected but an alternate was accepted with all other details unchanged.

Do you know if this coolpad is the same one for sprint & can it be used on sprint… although I asked I'm thinking no since the Franklin Sprint Hotspot that I have has a Sprint sim linked to the device. According to Sprint you can't swap out their SIMs but I'm thinking that could be different since the merger or no?

Do you have any idea if they will let you buy a new tmobile sim card, register it on their cheapest internet data plan (2 GB LTE then unlimited 2G speed), and use their trial device with that sim card? Also, would they allow a computer or tablet to be used with the trial?

Their data plans also include binge-on which allows a myriad of streaming services to be viewed at 480 and the data used does NOT go towards your data usage. So as much YouTube Netflix Amazon Prime Spotify Pandora etc as you like. Once you hit your data cap your speed drops to creepy crawly slow…including the video and music streaming. But as long as you keep up with your data usage, it's not a bad deal. You can change data plans at any time and also purchase extra data to get you through the month if you exceed your plan amount. Not having most streaming services count on your data usage is a BIG thing!

They verify you are not a customer by your email, address, and phone number if you are with a mvno of T-Mobile then you can just put a non T-Mobile number as the number they want since they won’t have your email or address if you are a customer with them then you can put your neighbors address or a P.O. Box and use a throw away email but they will verify it

Great heads-up! So it’s 30 days or 30 GB starting when the SIM card is put in the device. But how long can I keep the SIM card out of the device and still expect it to work when I finally put it in?

That’s great info! Thanks a lot. I was looking for something like this to test my new blackvue dr900s dash cam. Camera connects to the hotspot and you just remotely watch live through it. In addition, I will also have a chance to update everything on my head unit in the car within the given time. It will be great test for the device since will be traveling different places. If everything works, I can get the lowest data plan from T mobile (if they allow) and let my camera connected (if they do not limit connecting devices to phones only) and receive notification emails for detected event. I hope we can use any data plan they have (2gb/$10) not the high end data plans 🙂 Again thanks for the great sharing!!!!!

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up about this… what a great way to get to test T-Mobile's service without any obligation! And to have the worst-case scenario be that you have a shim for an uneven table is pretty cool! 😉 Thanks, Cherie!
