Clean it with dawn dish wshing soap.comes clean that way

Buy yourself a gallon of coil brite, to clean those radiator fins. Mix it with water, according to directions. Use a weed sprayer to apply, wait 5 minutes and hose off. It's a strong alkaline cleaner, great for aluminum in proper dilution. Mixed too strong, and it will blacken raw aluminum. I use it on a/c coils and it takes every bit of dirt of, easily, and makes radiators much more efficient!

Truck tires! Mans work for sure. Done plenty of them in my time.
02.08.2019
Shame they need to fit tires like that really scratches the rims

Now the rad looks really nice again 🙂

Watching these guys fight with those tires makes me thankful for our fleet practices. Changing those tires is not nearly as complicated as shown. Cleaning the rim, lubricating the beads also helps when dismounting. Tire shops just want to get the tire changed, if you have a bead leak, it's good for their business.

Putting air in a tire without a tire cage? OUCH!!!!!!

Scott, what sort of air helper springs do you have in the rear? I need to put an air helper on the right rear of my bus because there's more weight on that side and because the right rear spring has two fewer leaves than the left (on purpose!). I've thought about using two small springs on each side, and they would be able to support about 1000 lbs at full pressure — I need only a few hundred lbs of help on the right.

That sucks watching those two guys struggle with those tires considering bigger shops have the newer machines that do all the hard work for you

These guys need a little help with the tires

Bus blood right outa the gate , sealed up nicely with a couple of cranks, put a drop light behind that Rad at night to see good light penetration and clogged fins.

Those tyre guys made hard work of it. They even got me wondering at first if they were trying to take the casing off the wrong rim.

Lenny getting some more loving 😎

What were the two airlines the guy was checking air pressures on for the rear axle? Air bags? I didn't think you had a live air axle…

It's like Laurel and Hardy opened up a tire shop!

Setting a bead outside of a tire cage…… Death wish.

Constant torque hose clamps, they cost more but sure do give peace of mind compared to the junk you are using. Radiator and turbo hose leaks can turn ugly fast . Blast a Coil will dissolve all the dirt and crud out of the radiator.

Point of reference: My 31' 1980 FC Wanderlodge is about 1000#'s lighter, my 35' 1983 same model weighs in @ 32k, nice light bus you have there. Guess you have a plan for the old tires, my dealer usually gives me 50 to 100 bucks trade in.

Alloy wheels are required. Bus guys frequently over look that .

Scott you talk in your video about adjusting the tyre pressure for the weight of the bus but you didn't mention what tyre pressure for what weight? It's very important to have the tyre pressures right as you said so can you help with this info please? Keep up the good work with your videos as we are learning so much. We are converting a bus in Australia. Thank you.

The weight is not too bad, i thought with all the tools you have to carry it would be more. My 38ft bus plus trailer and small 4WD comes in at about 23,200lb.
